ES is traded during futures market hours from Sunday evening from 18:00 ET until Friday evening 17:00 ET, with a one hour halt Monday – Thursday from 17:00 ET until 18:00 ET (give or take a few minutes). Trading an ES option costs/nets half that of trading an SPX option.
